Medicinal & Aromatic Plants

The botanicals behind our portfolio — their character, their cosmetic role and the forms in which we supply them.

Where our ingredients come from

Anatolia's varied climates and soils support an exceptional diversity of medicinal and aromatic plants, many cultivated and gathered for generations. These profiles introduce the key botanicals our portfolio is built around, the cosmetic role each tends to play, and the typical forms — essential oil, hydrosol, extract or dried material — in which we can supply them. They are educational botanical overviews rather than therapeutic or medical claims.

Lavender

Lavandula angustifolia

A cornerstone aromatic with a soft, floral-herbaceous scent. Its essential oil and hydrosol are mainstays of soothing skincare, fine fragrance and aromatherapy; the calming, familiar character makes it one of the most versatile botanicals in cosmetic formulation. Supplied as essential oil and hydrosol.

Rose

Rosa damascena

The signature flower of Anatolian perfumery, yielding precious rose otto by distillation and rich rose absolute by solvent extraction, alongside a delicately scented hydrosol. Prized in luxury skincare and fine fragrance for its deep, true-to-flower character. Supplied as essential oil, absolute and hydrosol.

Thyme

Thymus vulgaris

A robust aromatic herb whose essential oil is strongly chemotype-dependent — the gentler linalool and thymol types serve very different formulation needs. A characterful, functional botanical for personal care, supplied with chemotype documentation. Supplied as essential oil and dried herb.

Bay Laurel

Laurus nobilis

An evergreen of the Mediterranean whose leaves give a warm, spicy-green essential oil and whose berries yield a traditional fixed oil long used in artisanal soap. A distinctive note for natural personal care and fragrance. Supplied as essential oil and dried leaf.

Sage

Salvia officinalis

A classic aromatic herb with a clean, camphoraceous-herbal profile. Its essential oil is thujone-sensitive and therefore chemotype- and dose-controlled, while its extracts are valued for antioxidant-leaning positioning in skincare. Supplied as essential oil, extract and dried herb.

Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinalis

A bright, invigorating aromatic available in distinct chemotypes — camphor, cineole and verbenone — each suited to different scent and functional roles. Widely used in haircare and personal care, supplied with GC-MS on request. Supplied as essential oil and extract.

Immortelle

Helichrysum italicum

A premium Mediterranean botanical with a honeyed, curry-like aroma, its essential oil sought after in high-end soothing and anti-ageing-positioned skincare. A small-volume, high-value material handled with particular care. Supplied as essential oil and hydrosol.

Calendula

Calendula officinalis

The golden-orange marigold whose flowers give a gentle, comforting infused oil and extract favoured in sensitive-skin and baby-care formulation. A soft, well-loved botanical that supports a natural, caring brand story. Supplied as infused oil and extract.
