The real questions in launching a tea brand: which blend, how many boxes

Anyone launching a tea brand runs into two questions first, and neither of them is technical: which blend to start with, and how many boxes to order. This page addresses both from the brand owner's side. The production side is ours: our single-chamber string-and-tag-and-envelope line in Sındırgı produces roughly 1,000 bags per hour, with grammage adjusted per product. Our own catalogue holds 45 named ready blends, and we can build to order from 32 offerable varieties — 5 black and classic teas, 23 herbal and 4 fruit.

What we offer a brand owner

  • A ready blend library: 45 named blends in our own catalogue (Sunset Glow, Golden Hour, Istanbul Breeze, Linden Calm among them) — choose one and it ships under your brand
  • 32 offerable varieties: 5 black and classic teas, 23 herbal and 4 fruit; not held in stock, sourced and blended to order
  • Benchmark matching: send us a sample of a tea you like and we work to match its taste, aroma and brew-colour profile
  • String-and-tag bags, each wrapped in an outer envelope; roughly 1,000 bags per hour, grammage adjustable per product (for example 1.5-3 g)
  • A turnkey flow: blending, filling, printed packaging, quality control and export paperwork from one source, produced under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000

How launching a brand works

1

The blend decision

There are three routes: pick from our ready blend library, send a sample for benchmark matching, or build a blend from scratch out of the 32-variety pool. Your target consumer and price position decide which route fits.

2

Sample and specification

A sample of the chosen blend is prepared; once grammage, brew profile, tag and envelope design are settled, the specification is put in writing.

3

Production and shipment

Filling, enveloping and cartoning run on one line, followed by quality control and export paperwork. Quantity, packaging scope and destination country set the delivery plan.

Who it serves

E-commerce sellers and entrepreneurs launching their own tea brand, retail and chain buying teams, corporate gift suppliers, café and hotel brands, and producers whose blend is ready but who have no filling line. Destination labelling and import compliance is planned on the buyer's side; production and documentation are ours.

Private label tea bag FAQ

I do not have a blend of my own — where do I start?

Three options. You can pick one of the 45 named ready blends in our catalogue; you can send a sample of a tea you like and ask for benchmark matching; or we can build a blend from scratch out of the 32 offerable varieties. Most new brands start with a ready blend and add their own signature in the second season.

What exactly is benchmark matching?

You send us a sample of a tea you like, and we work to match its taste, aroma and brew-colour profile from our own variety pool. We do not promise an identical copy — raw-material origin and harvest period both affect the profile — but you see plainly how close the match gets, with a sample in hand.

Which varieties are available?

32 offerable varieties: 5 black and classic teas, 23 herbal teas and 4 fruit teas. These are not stocked items; they are sourced and blended to order, so which variety suits which period is verified once a brief arrives.

Why does unit cost fall as the quantity rises?

Because part of a brand's cost is one-off: plate, die and design preparation take the same work for a first order as for a large one. On a 2,500-box run that one-off item lands on each box as a visible share; across 50,000 boxes the same item spreads into a far thinner slice. What we are describing here is cost logic rather than a price — the actual figures are confirmed at quotation.

What is the bag format and grammage?

We produce bags with string and paper tag, each additionally wrapped in an outer envelope. Grammage is adjusted per product (for example 1.5-3 g); we settle the right weight together based on the blend's density and the brew profile you are targeting.

What about MOQ, price and certifications?

Minimum quantity and price depend on variety, volume, packaging scope and delivery terms, and we publish no fixed figures on the page. Production runs under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000, and ISO 22000 incorporates HACCP principles; we do not claim a separate HACCP, organic or halal certification.
